Pennsylvania Law

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Direct action to stop abuse : One Thread

I am currently involved in a case involving my daughter, child I babysat, and my sister. My stepfather was molesting these girls over a 20 year period (all at different times, my daughter was molested only 3 years ago). We went to the police, and my stepfather was arrested. One day later, he was bailed out. My sister had over 40 incidents with him, between the ages of 9-12, she is now 30, and just came out. Pennsylvania law says her statue ran out. The other two girls are now 13. One was molested when she was 5, and my daughter twice at the age of 10. Without my sisters counts, this man seems to be getting off FREE. I just found out about all three of them a few weeks ago, and went to the police two days later. This man also had two child pornography magazines found in his home.

I was investigated by CYF, and it seems no one cares about this since it wasn't actual rape. There was alot of touching and oral sex involved. THIS MAN NEEDS TO BE STOPPED, AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO IT! The story goes alot further, I still have two half-brothers living at home--I think they will be moving in with me.

Is there any way I can appeal the statue of limitations??? I don't want this man free on the streets. He has no remorse, and if set free, I know he will do it again. I am sure there are more victims, I believe the police are investigating. It seems all the agencies I call for help, they seem to not want to be bothered with us. The emotional toll on my family is unbelievable!!!

Any one with any advice, legal or emotional, please e-mail me at Kimberlyg4@aol.com. I could use any type of help I can get at this point.
