USCCB's invitation to prayer June 13-15greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread |
Hello,The USCCB has issued a statement inviting parishes, individuals, and groups to pray for the victims and the Bishops during their June 13-15 meeting in Dallas.
Here is a link to the statement: http://www.usccb.org/comm/pray.htm
The statement includes a link to a 48-page booklet of prayers to be used during a continuous adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, if one is conducted near you. It also suggests observation of the Divine Office (Liturgy of the Hours) in unison with the Bishops.
Please consider the Bishops' request to pray for the victims, the Bishops, and for the Holy Spirit's guidance during this meeting and through this difficult time for the Church.
O Lord, grant comfort and solace to the victims. O Lord, help us to forswear vengeance on the guilty. May they be reconciled. Holy Spirit, guide the Bishops and the Church we love through this dark hour.

PatThe Priests and Bishops have been mentioned during the Mass on each and every Sunday (daily too). They have been in our deepest prayers from day one and will be to the end.
