First Gigabite Film Experience

greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo - Film & Processing : One Thread

I just developed my first roll of Gigabite 35mm in the Gigabite chemistry. After making a few test prints and reading resolution chart negatives, I have concluded that Gigabite is no better and perhaps not up to Tech Pan results developed in Technidol. I compared prints made with both and Tech Pan wins in the grain category. Gigabite is quite easy to process, but you use the developer supplied with the film. The difference between 25 and 40 EI's is of little consequence. The cost of each is about the same when you include the developer.

Gigabite is not yet available in the US. I ordered it from Germany.

I'd be interested in others experience with this film.
