Removing the antihalation layer

I'd like to create some aetherial effects, like in IR films by removing the antihalation layer BEFORE exposure. Is this possible ? (I'd use APX100 or so) . Thx, Marc.

Marc:I believe the antihalation layer is designed to be removed by the hypo, which will adversely affect film sensitivity. For etherial (sp?) effects, you might try a fog or diffusion filer, or stretch a bit of nylon stocking across the lens. CC
