HELLP!.. Which one is a good deal?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Canon EOS FAQ forum : One Thread

Hi there, my name is Jeff

Thank you for those that have answered my question before.. However I have one last decision to make, the choices are:

1. Used Canon EOS 3, in mint condition, US$ 595 2. Used Canon EOS 3, just shot less than 5 rolls, for US$ 675 3. Used Canon EOS 1n, with PB-E1, in excellent + condition, for US$ 700

Which one do you think is a good deal? Since I'm living in Australia, I don't really know the market value of those cameras in USA.

Thanks guys

I'd have to say go with the used Canon EOS 3, just shot less than 5 rolls, for US$ 675 or the other EOS 3. It doesn't really matter, just if you want it to be more minty. If you have the money, try to get the PB-E2 you don't even need the special NIMH batter, since your FPS will increase from 4.3 to a whopping 6, which I find very helpful in my situations I use the camera for. Also, if you have more money :) get the 550ex that was BUILT with this camera at the same time. They were made for each other, so good luck deciding!

PS another thought...I feel the only really good reason to get an EOS- 1N is as a backup body, since it has mechanical sprocket to load and unload the film. It doesn't use an infrared sensor to detect film, so it won't fog infrared film at all compared to the EOS 3. I shot infrared with the EOS 3, and it fogs uup the sprocket area of the film, and also leaves a strange oval shaped mark on the frame.

Well, good luck deciding, you should decide based on your needs according to budget. I assume that you can afford all three choices you put up right there.
