Buyin stuff, FBI talk, car lookin, gas gripin and [preachin]

Made a big boo boo today. I went into Sears in Olney, IL. Had a little "look see" at their weedwhackers. Ended up bring'n one home with me. Lil Dumplin don't like weeds 4' tall by the back porch steps! I told'r it was a good hidin place for snakes! They flew like a sledge hammer!!

Been kinda lookin for an old 30 Model A Ford. Im tired of all these newfangled "putered" vehicles that I can't even change the spark plugs on--that is if they even have'm!

Gasoline just happened to raise for last weekend and is still up. $1.38.9 is the current price for something that won't hardly burn.

Heard today that the FBI will relax some of the "intrustion laws" that prevents them from just walkin into your house. I don't approve of the way they do things at times. When they can do what they did at Ruby Ridge and get away with it--they can do ANYTHING! I understand too that something has to be devised to keep track of all those folks comin into our country.

Anyhow-Life is too short to worry about anything--so I don't! God is still in control---what do I have to worry about.

Hoot, I totally agree with you on your assessment on cars. When a person needs a computer 'chip' to work on changing your engine oil, something is amiss. If you are looking for a car just to get you around with only a little hauling room, try looking at the old Volkswagon 'Thing'. Simple as an anvil. I had a '66 Volkswagon Beetle that was a total JOY to work on. Except for draining the oil, you could sit on a stool and do 85 - 90% of the engine work. If cars were only so easy to work on these days . . .

Yes, giving freedom away to save us from the bad guys doesn't sound right to me either. Ruby Ridge was a travesty; the sniper killing the mother was brought up on charges, only to have another judge let him off the hook. Government employees having that kind of power is scary.

Good luck with your search on the Model A.
