What's for supper???

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

I am putting ham, green beans and potatoes in the crock-pot. Wheat bread in bread machine, and I am going to make jello with fruit for dessert. I want to get everything done this morning, as I have to get a lot of stuff ready for our summer reading program which starts next week.

Melissa, I am trying to find a stumper word that means "one who starts supper before breakfast" but no luck yet!!

Wish I knew. I'm cleaning out the freezer, so we'll probably have soup, but I'm in the mood for some type of pancakes or rabbit stew. I've never made rabbit stew, so I'll probably thaw one today and put it in the crock pot tomorrow before I go pick up Melinda's kids for a visit.

My goodness! Ham in the crockpot, rabbit stew...it's all making me hungry for supper and dawn is just arriving here!

I'll probably take out another big hunk of beef and cook it down for the next 2-3 suppers. Hopefully it'll fit in the oven. Still can't figure why the guy that gave it to us didn't cut it up smaller.

Ha, Ha Mitch!! LOL I am usually pretty brain-dead by afternoon, so I like to figure it out early in the day.

Cathy, some people eat a lot of meat... I can usually make one pound last for a few meals!

Well, last night Heather and I made BBQ chicken, mac and cheese, corn on the cob and baked beans, Tonight it will probably be left over chili from Sunday as I have to pack the kids up to send to Mom's for the weekend, YEAH!!!!!

We're having barbequed italian sausage, coleslaw, corn chips and fruit salad. I can't wait until my salad greens are up enough in the garden, so we can have fresh salad every supper to. I get insired by what everyone else is cooking, sometimes I get in a rut :)

Tonight is Nick's first "blastball" (pre-t-ball) practice, and we had a "play in the park" party at our house this morning (girls from church), so we will be having leftover turkey-vegetable soup and running off to the ball field today!
