Has anyone ever used motion detector devices for dogs digging in the garden?

If the dogs dig up my scotch moss one more time I'll scream. I thought of natural devices (I've heard citrus peels repel them) but I was wondering if motion sensor devices that emit high-frequency noise work on keeping dogs away. Has anyone used them?

I don't know about the high frequency device, but you might try a motion detector rigged to an electrically activated water valve. It would turn a sprinkler on, aimed at the area of the offensive digging.

I have used a motion detor light to keep away predators. It works, I'm not sure if it would work for dogs though.
