canon 7e/70-2004L and proball 308

I currently have the 7e, 28-70L and 70-2004L...I also have a bogen/manfrotto 3001 tripod with two pan/tilt heads...I wanted to buy the bogen 3413/manfrotto Proball 308 head for travel...Does anyone know if that combo tripod/ball head will be strong enough for my equipment?

I use a 3262 head (same capacity as the 3413) with that lens. works fine.

I forgot to add....the 70-2004L does not have the mounting ring...i will mount the camera to the head....

You must be kidding asking this question: I use the 308 Proball with EOS 1d + 2.8/300L !!!!! Don't worry about your light weight equipment, the 308 can handle up to 4kg / 8.8 lbs.

Get the 3413QR with the quick release - same price and the quick release is very handy. As has been said the 3413QR will hold up to 8.8 lbs. I use the 3001 with that head and it is my lightweight outfit until I can afford the Manfrotto 441 CF or Gitzo 1227, with the Kirk BH-3 ball head. I taped the top segment of the 3001 tripod with black photo masking tape to make it a little less cold to the touch. Good luck.

You really should get the tripod collar for the 70-200 lens. It will make for a better balanced outfit.
