Just a Matter of Time and They Will Strike Again!

God I hate Liberals! The final word is no guns in the cockpit. They argue that the pilot has his hands full and has no time to use a gun. Oh yeah, he's got plenty of time to wrassle one of them crazy camel breeders and swing a fire ax! They say that the doors are secure and hijacker kamikazis can't get in and I say Bull Shit! They say air marshalls can handle the situation. 30000+ flights a day and they will never be on every flight. NEVER! Leave it up to liberals to take tax dollars and hire forty thousand Marshall Dillons to ride shotgun when the flight crew is already being paid! And they can't trust a pilot with a handgun? He's put in charge of a multi-million dollar airplane and hundreds of lives but put a Glock in his flight case and fear abounds. Jeesus H. Cheerist! These same commercial pilots have flown and will in the future fly jet fighters that have been instructed to shoot down rogue airliners that cause a threat. Trust them to pull the trigger on a wing mounted rocket to take out a 767 loaded to the nuts but not a semi-auto? Because of the liberal nutbar mind set over liberal immigration laws and the concern of hurting the feelings of nonwhites we are in deep shit. We are going to be hit and we will be hit hard and liberals can take the major portion of the blame!

If anyone who disagrees with Boswell is allowed to make decisions then... the terrorists have won!

-- Little Nipper (canis@minor.net), May 22, 2002.

Right on Bos. I don't see the logic of this decision. Are "they" afraid that some wacko pilot will go postal? This is a stupid decision. Stupid, stupid.

Of course, after the next hijacking, the brilliant ones will figure a way to blame it on Bush, so what do they care? No blood on their hands, no siree.

-- (Roland@hatemail.com), May 22, 2002.

Um, Roland, this decision was made by officials of the Bush administration.

-- Little Nipper (canis@minor.net), May 22, 2002.

Speaking of 'hurting the feelings of nonwhites', did you hear about the stink from some latinos upset with the latest Star Wars. They say that it depicts Mexicans in a bad light. Huh? It just goes to show that all this PC stuff can go way too far.

-- Maria (anon@ymous.com), May 22, 2002.

Um, Roland, this decision was made by officials of the Bush administration.

Yes, sad to say. I think the decision is wrong no matter who made it. Ironically it is a win-win for Democrats. If another plane is hijacked, they can blame the Republicans for leaving the crew defenseless. If there is no hijacking, they can say "see, we were right about gun control".

I don't think this issue is over. What happens when the pilots and/or flight crews go on strike for the right to defend themselves and the passengers?

-- (roland@hatemail.com), May 22, 2002.

Hi Boswell! =o)

-- (cin@cin.cin), May 24, 2002.

I think a lot of people have this backwards. It is the liberals who want guns in the cockpit. Beats the hell out of having the military shoot down a passenger plane.

-- Cherri (whatever@who.cares), May 24, 2002.

"Pilots ready to fight ban on cockpit guns". San Francisco Chronical, May 22, 02

"It is the liberals that want guns on the plane". Cut and paste that bullshit line for me Cherri! That South Carolina Senator Hollings is a fruit. That state should be proud of their rep. Liberals have always been for gun control because its PC nowadays. Gives em that warm fuzzy feeling and makes em feel gooood! As for the Bush Ad. supporting this. Screw em. The flight crews are in the pissed off mode right now and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if you don't see a nation wide strike comin up. What the hell do we have to do to kick some sense into people. Bring the Israelis over here and show us how to run an airline? Hi Cin! Eat my shorts little nipper!

It's especially funny because the guy they're complaining about isn't even Hispanic. He's from New Zealand. LOL.

They somehow managed to completely ignore Jimmy Smits, though, who is Hispanic, and will go on to adopt Leia and make her a Princess. But that doesn't count, I guess.

-- (what@i.think), May 24, 2002.

eeeeeeh? Smits not a spanic name, honkie. He prolly has 1/8 blood and makes a living off of it.

-- (cheech@chong's.dong), May 24, 2002.

If you give the pilots guns, what is stopping one of THEM from taking over the plane? It would only be a matter of time before one of them would do this, and then we would have to ban them from having guns anyway. This way we're just saving time.

-- (get@clue.dimwits), May 24, 2002.

Jimmy Smits looks Cherokee if you ask me.

-- (cin@cin.cin), May 24, 2002.

"what is stopping one of THEM from taking over the plane"

get a clue yourself! LOL that is just too funny! Here's a clue: THEY, and no one else, HAVE CONTROL OF THE PLANE ALL THE TIME IT'S IN THE AIR. They can do whatever they damn well please, case in point, the Egyptian pilot who committed suicide in NY.

-- Maria (anon@ymous.com), May 24, 2002.

Hey dumbass Maria. Did it ever occur to your retarded brain that a pilot might encounter some resistance if he tried to take the plane off course?? As in "let's roll" dumbshit? If they had a gun, they would be able to kill anyone who tried to stop them. DUUUUUH!

-- hee-haaaaw! too funny watching retards! (pass the popcorn! @ thanks. for morning chuckle!), May 24, 2002.

Smits is Hispanic dumbshits. Never heard of a stage name? Duuuuh.

The oldest of three children born to a devout Catholic family, Smits was raised in Brooklyn. Smits, now the father of two, lives in California and maintains a long-term relationship with actress Wanda de Jesus.

Don't like the idea of pilots totin'. Funny thing about having a gun is that it gives a comfort that encourages ignoring alternatives. Worse, that comfort encourages complacency. Trained sky marshalls for me.

"Skill Level of New Air Marshalls in DoubtUSA Today, May 24

-- (lars@indy.net), May 25, 2002.

"Toting a gun gives comfort that encourages ignoring alternatives". Typical liberal bullshit! Lets take guns away from the cops so they can use more humane alternatives. JEEsus H. Cheerist. You want the Pilot in Command or the 2nd officer to stop the cockpit intrusion by putting a hole thru the chest of the Son of a Bitch and dropping him dead instead of sweet talking him or using pepper spray or a stun gun. And so what if a stray bullet kills one or more passengers in the process. The plane lands safely without a building getting hit or a nuclear facility getting smacked. The passenger's families might sue the airline but that's the AMERICAN WAY OF MAKING A FAST BUCK. And I think lawsuits are another toy invented by liberals!

-- Boswell (fundown@thefarm.net), May 25, 2002.

So Boswell, you think some kid who partied too much on his trip and is having a panic attack should be shot dead in the chest, no questions asked?

-- (cin@cin.cin), May 25, 2002.

Cin, if that kid you are speaking of is having a panic attack or for any other reason has been successful in invading the flight deck and is being physical to the point that he is trying to disrupt the crew and if the safety of that airliner and it's passengers is in jeapardy than he should be dropped without question. Many a police officer has shot and killed similar subjects just for advancing in a threatening manner and they are justified in the courts for doing so.

-- Boswell (fundown@thefarm.net), May 26, 2002.

You say so until it's YOUR kid. ;o)

Jeesus H. Cheerist

Boswell, what is Jesus' middle name?

-- helen (jesus@H.cheerist?), May 26, 2002.

Why, it's Hieronymus, of course!

-- (get@with.it), May 27, 2002.

Nobody wants their kid shot and killed for any reason. Not even me. But if they are justified in killing yours or mine to save the lives of passengers or people on the ground then we have to deal with it. Your kid might be a passenger on that plane and you might thank your lucky stars the crew took my boy down to save yours and others. Jeesus H. Cheerist is my way of showing futility with the obvious stupidity of others. Sometimes I direct it at myself.

-- Boswell (fundown@thefarm.net), May 27, 2002.

"If they had a gun, they would be able to kill anyone who tried to stop them. DUUUUUH! "

Hey Doc, did the Egyptian pilot have a gun? You've got to be the stupidest person on the planet. Amazing you could form a sentence.

-- Maria (anon@ymous.com), May 28, 2002.

Talk about STUPID! Bwaaaahahaaahaaa! Do you ever THINK before you spew??

The Egyptian pilot did not NEED a gun dimwit! He crashed the plane without one!! Remember, dumbshit??

A pilot who HAS a gun would be even MORE likely to be able to do it!

GAAAAAAAAAWD!!! TALK ABOUT SHIT FOR BRAINS!!

-- LMAO (Maria's brain is @ made. of donkey dung), May 28, 2002.

Like I said, "You've got to be the stupidest person on the planet."

-- Maria (anon@ymous.com), May 28, 2002.

No, it's you (as usual) who doesn't get it, patriot-breath. It's the American pilots who need the guns. That way, if an Ayrab/Muslim zealot or air-raged American yahoo tries to commandeer the plane, they get shot twixt the eyes.

Anyone stupid enough to fly EgyptAir deserves what they get.

-- (roland@hatemail.com), May 28, 2002.

Maria, I hope it's obvious that I was addressing the boor who preceded you.

-- (roland@hatemail.com), May 28, 2002.

Nothing like shooting out the side window (or hole in the passenger cabin) at cruise altitude. It just takes your breath away

-- Cherri (Whatever@who.cares), May 28, 2002.

Yo nigga, you better think twice before backing up that maria moron. She says there's no way a pilot could use a gun to crash a plane, then she proceeds to explain how the Egypt pilot did it without a gun. If anything, a gun would only make it easier for a pilot like him to kill the other pilot and crash the fricking plane. It don't take no genius to figure this out, but then maria got shit for brains. Now it sounds like you do too, nigga!

Arm the Pilots by Paul Greenberg

-- (plane driver@blue.skies), May 29, 2002.

I wonder how many anti-gunners even read ARM THE PILOTS and if so did it pound any sense into them? They have absolutely no valid argument whatsoever to contradict the writer of this story and so they will avoid it by changing the subject.

-- joey langsford (jlangsford@bigcityblues.com), May 31, 2002.

Oh the bastions of higher learning. Washington State University and the local hideout for the touchy feely crowd. Got into an argument with one them over guns in the cockpit. You can't reason with them fuckers! If I hear one more time that everybody will be sucked out that little hole in the airplane I will personally grab his chin whiskers and take my pliers to that little earring in his ear and give it a yank and see if that gets his attention!

-- Boswell (fundown@thefarm.net), May 31, 2002.

Was that Cherri's point, Boswell? I didn't think it was. Cherri should know better than that since she knows a lot about airplanes. Airplanes don't do that when holes blow out in the cabin; that only happens in Hollywood where facts are ignored for entertainment's sake. It *is* a funny thought though when people believe Hollywood!

-- Maria (anon@ymous.com), May 31, 2002.

"Airplanes don't do that when holes blow out in the cabin; that only happens in Hollywood where facts are ignored for entertainment's sake. It *is* a funny thought though when people believe Hollywood!"

Airplanes do too do that you dumb broad. It's a funny thought though when someone who is as stupid as you!

-- lol too funny! (pass popcorn @ thanks. morning chuck), May 31, 2002.

Like I said, Doc, "You've got to be the stupidest person on the planet."

You really have a tough time remembering plane incidents. There have been numerous occassions when holes have been punctured through the cabin. Can you recall any? Further can you recall the damage it made and who survived? I can see the smoke coming out of your ears right now trying to use that pea brain of yours.

-- Maria (anon@ymous.com), May 31, 2002.

Off the top of my head, about six years ago, an airliner near Hawaii lost an emergency door. Several people near the door were sucked out of the plane and died. As for bullet holes in airliners, there have been no recent cases to recall. As you may remember, governments around the globe have been making concerted efforts to keep guns off commercial airliners since about 1975.

Military planes get bullet holes in them from time to time, but the designers knew that hazard ahead of time and have designed for it, so it's hard to be sure what light could be shed from that direction.

As for the thread title, the next time the terrorists strike, it is likely to be at a new weak spot, not at the spot where we have reinforced. That is the history of warfare. The guy with a bomb in his shoe proved that. He was using a new twist. He failed. The terrorists are back at the drawing board.

-- Little Nipper (canis@minor.net), May 31, 2002.

Well LN you have just proved you are smarter than Doc, great! And, you have also shown that, "that everybody will be sucked out that little hole in the airplane" is a false statement. Two points for you and move to the head of the class.

-- Maria (anon@ymous.com), May 31, 2002.

Uh oh, sorry LN I just noticed this, "Military planes... but the designers knew that hazard ahead of time and have designed for it" Hmmmm please go to the back of the class. Maybe Cherri can say why this isn't true.

-- Maria (anon@ymous.com), May 31, 2002.

Who's Doc??

-- (maria is and idiot @ morning. chuck), May 31, 2002.

Explosive decompression has always been a problem and always will be. It's common sense that when a plane is going 500 miles an hour things will get sucked out, even after the pressure difference is stabilized, and if the hole gets bigger you got major problems, as with the Hawaiin flight. Only a dimwit like Maria would think that this only happens in movies.

-- LOL (please ignore @ retard. Maria), May 31, 2002.

High school physics might have helped LOL but somehow I doubt it. Maria, Nip & Bos are certainly correct about bullet holes, decompression and Hollywood. Hell, if planes were that fragile noone would fly in them including me.

Nip, it wasn't just a door it was the entire roof of the first third of the cabin that blew off that 737. One stewardess was lost.

Bos: Been a hell of a long time since someone tagged me as a liberal but I still don't want pilots with guns. Stand w/ my first comments.

-- Carlos (riffraff@cybertime.net), June 01, 2002.

Ahem ... there actually was a case where someone shot a bullet into a commercial airliner and a baby was sucked out from her grandfather's arms. This was maybe around the same time as the lockerbie incident and it was blamed on terrorists. The plane was not over the U.S., although I don't remember where it was.

The infant was about nine months old. No one else was sucked out as I recall. I think the baby was American.

-- helen (rambling@with.roses), June 01, 2002.

Relax people, there is already safe munition for aircraft interiors.

-- (roland@hatemail.com), June 01, 2002.

A lot of the high time airliners in service today have structural fatigue caused by expansion, contraction, and vibration. In time, these craft develop seam compression leaks that can add up to the size of a grape fruit if totaled up. The pressurization equipment just needs to be in top shape and work a little harder. A bullet hole will not do it. A BIG HOLE caused by a jet launched rocket would do it. That is the choice of some.In fact, that might be enough to suck the tampax out of Aunt Idabel.

-- Boswell (fundown@thefarm.net), June 01, 2002.

There you repugs go again, using phallic objects to describe the treasures in Clinton's pants once again. You guy need to seek professional help.

-- (dumbya@not.president), June 01, 2002.

"A bullet hole will not do it."

All depends where the bullet hits. Most likey, it would just create a small hole and a slow compression leak. But if it happens to strike one of those weak spots you mentioned, it could cause a much bigger hole to rip open. It's a matter of chance, and odds are it would not cause a big hole, but it is possible. Wonder how many people would be willing to take the chance that they would be the one to get sucked out if it did happen.

-- (methinks@not.many), June 01, 2002.

Oh Boswell, do you think so? That sounds wunnerful, wunnerful!

-- (Aunt Idabel@coffee.klatch), June 01, 2002.

My God Aunt Belle is that you? I didn't know you were on this here internet thing. Did you get that stinger pulled out of Billie Bob's butt?
