Wild Mustartd

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Style Homesteading : One Thread

Due to so much rain the farmers havne't been able to farm. There are fields and fields of what I know as wild or garlic mustard. How bright and beautiful. (bet the farmer's are thrilled). Does anyone ever use this herb/wildflower for medicial or culinary purposes?

Cindy, look closely at the flower heads. Just before they open they look like tiny broccoli. Pick a whole bunch and blanch in boiling water, don't take too long to cook. Butter.
