Am I the only one willing to toss my F4 down the road?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread

I don't know but it seems I'm the only one besides Jerry Mulderig who actually realizes this could be my last mile & I'd be a fool not to enjoy it! OK there is Phil Read (the man won FIA championships on his own bike), Steve Wadsworth & Dwight Mitchel(?). Can anyone else actually ride one of these things? No my bike doesn't look like like Lorraina Bobbits ex-hubbies privates but my tires do. Sean Crane

I ride mine. I think you are incorrect to assume that people don't ride their bikes hard. I can see taking a bit of pause because even if you have all the money in the world, fixing these may take some time due to parts availability, etc. It doesn't stop me though. My tires are balling up a bit on the edges. Corner speeds on this bike seem to be quite high in comparison to other sport bikes.

I know what you mean, but remember alot of MV owners (and Ducati) have the bikes to pose on rather than ride hard. If you want to ride hard suggest you get on some track days or get a bunch of mad mates like mine who force eachother to ride beyond the limit, or if your local to hampshire get in touch and we can see how fast you are! cheers Peter

To the post above, yeah, I met someone first hand today who struck me as a huge poser that has an MV. It's too bad there are so many people so caught up with how something looks. These are usually the same people telling me how much carbon fiber they installed as my eyes roll... I'm not going to say the bike doesn't look good, but if it didn't work good, I wouldn't own it. And I know it works good because I ride the damn thing. I'm fully convinced that on a track without long straights it would spank my R1.

Nowhere near Hampshire, but I have to get on a track over there (in the UK). I really want to ride at Donington one day.
