My first kidding (Wow)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Dairygoats : One Thread

What a experience, just had first kidding on my farm last night. My doe had quads (all bucks) :(... But everything went well, two of them are so flashy and pretty.. Vicki, these quads are from the doe that I emailed you about two months ago, and the fact that she was so huge. She is a Nigerian Dwarf, and babies ususally weigh about 2 pounds. All of these boys were over three pounds and one of them weighed four.I am so happy that all went well, could have used a doe, but maybe next time. Barbara

Yippee!!!!!! For you!!! And the doe, of course! ;)

And quads (!) all fine and healthy, that's fantastic! I've never had quads. I'd be a nervous mess if I knew beforehand, lol.

Congrats!

Wow Barbara, 4!! I had to read your post twice, I just knew the two flashy and pretty ones would have been BUCKS! Here it seems they get the best bodies and the prettiest colors! Wished you would have gotten some does! Vicki

...yeah, bucks, damn.

We named our bucks, (yeeeees, we actually used to named them......)"dam" names, Bagnel, Osage, Hoover....;)

Congratulations!!!! Quads and all went well! I'd have been as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.
