[PR] For an abducted child I know -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SAR has been wonderful in seeing things to help with finding this little boy for his grieving father. Now I'd like to ask you all to join us in prayer for the safe, mentally and physically, soon return of him.

Spencer was taken on Valentine's Day by a mother who said she wished to take him on a week's vacation. Instead, that day she began an abduction from his father, who had been given full custody two years previously, when he was three years old. Since this move gave her a week's headstart, I asked many around the country to pray with me for the capture of this woman and the return of this son to his father.

Since that time the detectives from the US and Canada who are searching for her have contacted me several times, and I have given all the information I could about this former coworker's contacts, habits, mental state, etc. The Canadians are treating the retrieval of this little one more seriously in their search techniques than US seems to do. She crossed the border into Canada on 2/17 via Michigan, which is very, very close to exactly how SAR saw it, when humanly we would have expected her to go via Niagara Falls, where she has contacts.

Edited to add a "P.S." I just scrolled down and saw SAR's posting this request too in Feb. To answer, this mother told us all at work how she wanted to "get even" with this good father for the court awarding him custody of the child, and how she resented paying her share of child support (though she took it grandly when she had original custody...and didn't use it on the son either!) She is vengeful and vindictive. She hurts others all around her all the time, including having badly used a number of our coworkers who've come forward. When she brought him to the office, it was quite evident that she didn't know how to relate to him, talking to him more as one would a stranger...we other women related to him better. She never cared for his physical wellbeing, and the judge gave the boy to the father for several good reasons. So what we are concerned about is the mental wellbeing of this child, and for his inner knowing that his father loves him, is a good man, is not dead, etc.: any of the lies he may have been told being undone. Also, for his physical safety. I also pray for no post-traumatic stress syndrome to affect his little life. And I do also pray for his mother to sit in her jail cell and realize that she NEEDS to look up, and find God, and turn her life completely around.

We have been hopeful that Spencer would be home by Easter, and still have that prayer ongoing. If he is not, I fear his father's spirits will plummet even lower than they are now, with his son missing for nearly two months now. This man is spiritual, loves the Lord, is totally involved in his son's life and enrichment, and just loves and enjoys his company. He is lonely for his child, to whom he's been virtually the only parent all his life, and is concerned about this big gap in Spencer's life and activities...Sunday School, soccer, a good pre-school and friends, neighbors who miss him, and he was about to start T-Ball. He also has a new bike awaiting him.

Please join SAR and me in praying for Spencer and John to be reunited SOON. Thank you all so much! This is obviously a caring group.

[PR] Update on abducted child -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sue has asked me to update this prayer request for the abducted child that Gods1sheep has been writing about. (I am sure that Gods1sheep would have written this but she lost Sue's address so I am doing this for BOTH of them! LOL.) I cannot say too much at this point but things are looking more positive. Please add some strong prayers for his father, John, that things turn out as they hope and that they are reunited. Pray for the child's state of mind, that he is whole and will accept his father's love unconditionally; that no damage has been done. Please pray that this father has a safe journey as he travels. I pray that the mother won't inflict any harm on her son and he will be reunited with his Dad soon. You are right though, it's his mental and emotional state that are most fragile being with her.

How wonderful it would be for him to be reunited with his Dad for Easter. It's not too late for an Easter miracle!

Yes, Spencer is in my most urgent prayers. His father must be so very devastated and I pray for Angels to bring him comfort as well. Spencer's Mom doesn't sound any too stable, so many prayers go out to Spencer that he is being cared for properly, fed and clothed and being treated with kindness. Again, I pray for his return. I pray he will be found and Mom will have to face the consequences of her actions. I only hope she is not filling the boy's head with lies.

Profs. for Secretary's Week this week, then going home dead tired so I haven't even looked at my e-mail in days, that I haven't visited here, and only put a couple of items on RALs other board in all that time.

Spencer was not yet home by Easter, nor is he now. However, John has completed the renovation of the basement into a playroom, complete with carpeting, to surprise him, and has an Easter basket ready, so he will know he was thought about all this while.

The Canadian authorities have encouraged him by saying they are about to put the "Missing Child: Abucting Parent" poster all over public places there, that this gives him more hope. Also, the FBI has now issued a new, stronger warrant based upon fleeing to avoid prosecution, which means they will now really enter the chase more than before. Meanwhile, if Spencer isn't home by month's end (a week from now), John will put out a bounty as well. He has all his paperwork and a Canadian lawyer standing at the ready to expedite the required court procedure to retake custody of his child and bring him home.

Pray that this mother will make her mistake that SAR and the police are sure will trip her up. It could be trying for her furniture and belongings, without which "things" she cannot live, truly, materialism being her driving force in life. Then they could apprehend her.

Thank you for praying for this adorable little guy's mental health as well. We who know her all believe that this mother could NOT keep Spencer even for three days alone, but is having help from some persons she has lied to to obtain sympathy, as she did with others right here to get on her way, using them badly.

I can't wait to visit with John and Spencer and bring him a big surprise when I do.

I will keep you informed. Thank you all once again for praying and caring and sending him your thoughts. I keep asking the Lord to let him sense and know his guardian angel that Jesus said each child had is with him. Also, that his inner being will know that his father really loves him and is alive. And that when he is rescued, it will not be traumatic, but handled well. Thanks a lot! Bless you all. I do hope that his mother makes a fatal error and is apprehended. Also I hope she isn't reading your post to see what she may do that would cause her to be caught. One just never knows.

A bounty on the mother's head may cause one of her "friends" to rat on her and that would be excellent. Some people know where this boy and his mother is and just aren't talking.

So glad that he will have such a nice surprise to come home to as you described. I pray it will be soon ... very soon.

Letter from Gods1sheep on abducted boy -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Friends, I was out sick yesterday, and couldn't wait to get back online to tell you all the good news I heard on Friday. The father of this five-year-old boy flew back to VA Friday a.m. with his son! The Canadian detectives and court system were simply wonderful to them.

The mother blew her case there by lying about why she had abducted her son, of whom the father had custody. So the court appointed a psychologist, and this expert determined not only that the father did not abuse his son, but that the mother had used kicking as one of her disciplinary measures!

There is a twisted tale of how she kept putting her foot in her mouth, but suffice it to say that in four court appearances over a week and a half, the Lord was on the side of truth, and exposed the lies each time. Finally, she was remanded to custody for extradition to the USA.

The other great answer to prayer is that this little boy, who was missing since Feb. 14th, is behaving normally, to his father's real amazement and delight. We really expected a lot of harm would have to be undone, but he appears very contented just to be home.

The father appreciates all the prayers that he says carried him through this long ordeal, and that have made this dear little guy come home and seem normal emotionally.

I can't wait to see him soon! I've gotten him colored washable markers and crayons, since he loves to draw.

Thank you all on their behalf for having been so faithful. God is good! Now this little guy and his dad can conduct a normal life for the next three years, while she is restrained from interrupting it. Pray that the Lord will use that time to have her heed her mother and sister's invitation to find Him, the only real value in life, rather than things.
