I have some leftover cooked chicken to use, I just can't think of anything to make with it today. I might just add it to sauted onions and peppers and wrap in a home-made tortilla with the trimmings. I have strawberries and angel food cake with whipped cream for dessert.

Tonight will be battered fried fish, a big fresh salad from the garden, and fresh english peas. We don't eat deserts.

I have class tonight, so I will probably just cook hotdogs or something very simple since I won't get home until late.

Ground Turkey tacos, salad and strawberry salad. Since I made it a couple weeks ago with (oh gosh, I forgot who's it was?) everyone wants it all the time. Oh was it Irene's? I think it was.

My big ego must reply: it was my strawberry pretzel salad. Let me know if your son likes it! Thinking of making beef/brocolli stir fry with rice, jello using up the freezer strawberries and apples.

Melissa--why Mashed potatoes AND noodes? No veggies? Just wondering-- doesn't sound like your normal meals....Signed, nosey.

We butchered roosters chickens yesterday, so today is chicken and noodles, green beans, corn, corn muffins and, if I can get to it, rhubarb pie.

Salad was listed too Ann!!! But the reason for the menu is that it is Brady's birthday and that is what he wanted by request!!! He loves turkey, mashed potatoes and noodles. I may slip a few other things in there too, just to make it more rounded out. Cake is for his B-day and ice cream too!!!

We're splurging tonight because I am tired from all that church cooking over the weekend and all hubby can come up with is chili..( I hate chili)..so, it's store-bought pizza for us..sometimes I just enjoy having only the two of us to consider for meals!!!!!!!

My turkey has been baking for hours and it smells very good... or pizza might sound like a winner too!

Supper at the house of old hoot'n calvin: I don't know. Lil Dumplin done and left me again for the week, I'm outta lunch meat, no money to buy anything with and have the resemblance of an old mule. Head hung down and in the last stages of starvation. Do anybody feel sorry for this old hillbilly? Well, didn't think so--so rekon it's fried breaded fish, corn, carrots, greenbeans and maybe a baked tater or two and Iced Tea! Et while watchin and listenin to preachin/southern gospel singin. How can it get any better! old hoot. Matt.24:44

Hey Melissa: We do the same thing on birthdays--birthday person picks all three meals for the day! Missed that Salad--just checking up because I'm a member of the "eat your veggies" fan club:)

By the way, that birthday idea allows me to say on the other days of the year "What do you mean you don't really 'like' the delicious food in front of you--is this YOUR bithday???":) I do try to have something everyone likes, but let's face it--in the real world it's not your birthday every day either....

Hey Sweet Mae, How is Lousiville today, apres Derby? We had relatives down all weekend who were escaping Lousiville!!!!! Tonight, just plain old chili and cornbread-kind of rainy out so that seemed good, and leftover cheesecake from yeasterday.

Lamb!! We raise sheep so what can be for dinner but Lamb. Does anyone know how much cholestrol is in Lamb beings we eat so much of it?

-- Debbie (bwolcott@cwis.net), May 06, 2002.

I'm telling y'all what we HAD, so I can't change my mind! Ham balls (from Easter - been frozen), rice, and lima beans. We had peanut butter, marshmallow fluff & chocolate chip sandwiches for lunch (does whole wheat bread make it healthier?!)
