What is the best lens for shooting wide angle close-ups?

You may want to consider the EF 20 f/2.8 (.25M mimimum focusing). And for some very unique close-up/macro effects, add the 250D or EF 12 extention tube.

The EF24 2.8 is pretty good at 25 cm. It also has a floating element to correct distortion and sharpness when focusing close.
