Export capabilitiesin Offline CD Browser?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Anders Petersson's Freeware Forum : One Thread

I've just installed your software. I'm really interested in starting to use it as it looks better than most that I've seen.

However, it is definitely lacking an export function. For instance, I might like to get a csv, html, or xml version of the catalogue files.

Have you considered writing some parsing routines to handle export functions? I see that you have some limited export ability with the print function. However, the print function won't export the entire tree. Maybe I'm missing something?

I'll probably look into building some parsing routines for my own use, but I wanted to check on what you may build into future versions.

Thanks for the great app!

Writing an export function is a priority, but as I don't have much time for developing these days, it might take me some time.

You may want to think twice about writing an export function yourself, since the format in which the catalog is coded might change from one version to the next. I would think you're better off waiting for me to do it. Give me a month ot two.

Thanks for the thumbs up.

I am also looking forward to the release of the export function, especially since I have invested a lot of time compiling my index.
