Be careful offering help to Doreen :-)

Doreen had trouble with her truck, I offered to fly across the Pacific Ocean and fix it for her.

I never did get to leave home and so far the plane (United Airlines 747 Auckland to LAX) has had THREE attempts to get across, first attempt hit severe turbulence and had to return with injured cabin crew and passengers, second attempt, I don't know what happended I think the crew reported hearing alarming noises, third attempt was about 2 hours into the flight when the cabin pressurisation and flaps gave a problem. Maybe they will get across today!

Just as well I never left home and anyway Doreen has fixed the truck!

!!!wow!!! I'm really glad you didn't make the plane-maybe it's just as well as I have no red meat for you and we'd need to hoist one of the neighbors tresspassing cattle to get a seriously fresh one for you.

Let those neighbours' cows alone Doreen! I like cows, they have lovely brown eyes (especially jerseys!). If, when, maybe, I ever get to visit we will have whatever is your regional vegetarian speciality! If you get here we will have pavlova for desert, it is not truly vegetarian as it contains eggs and has cream topping. We will each have a sinful helping of pavlova with passionfruit or kiwifruit topping.

I am in the process of checking prices to send a 1" thick 24 ounce T-bone in a cooler of dry ice to John. I just can not comprehend John being cheated out of the simple pleasure of a steak dinner. I know UPS and Fed Ex can handle the Job !!!

Thanks for the thought Joel, I think UPS will cost you about $50 but please don't bother! The agricultural quarentine folks might confiscate it (and for all I know eat it themselves!).
