I would like to buy a lens : Canon EF 28-105 U for my camera. But when I goto the Canon shop, the assistant told me that I shouldn't buy that Lens for my Camera because it will ruin each other. And she persuaded me to buy a lens: 28-90 U or 28-80 . I don't know what to do? Can you give me some advices: What lens should I buy? 28-80 ; 28-90 or 28-105 Thanks a lot

Answers

a) Did you read the responses you got to your previous question?

b) What camera body do you have?

It's unfortunate that I have to say this, but all the worst camera advice I've ever received has come from employees at camera stores. Whether due to intentional misinformation or just plain ignorance, I say never trust the advice of a camera store clerk until you verify the information elsewhere.

In this case, the clerk is absolutely wrong. Get the 28-105 USM.

The 28-105 is a much better lens than the marginal 28-90 or 28-80 the camera store unfortunately recommended. You made the right decision using this type of forum. If you have any more question this is a good place to get good advice!
