Minimum Aperture

Hi 2 u all I've resently bought a canon EOS 30 + Canon EF 28-200mm USM 3.5 - 5.6 and by Canon the minimum aperture is 36 . But !!!! , when i've took some pictures at night the camera gave me a higher value of 38. How can it be ? The len desn't support that aperture. Please help me to understand this issue 10x a lot Raz

f/38 at night? You must be using ISO 1 zillion film to achieve that. The difference between f/36 and f/38 is not dramatical an may be used by rounding off the figurers, either in you camera or in the manual. Check the possibillities in M mode.
