Has anyone ordered from Four Seasons Nursery? How was their quality on your order?

I have ordered from them twice in the past. I ordered assorted flowering plants and carnation bushes in a previous order. The carnations arrived moldy and never grew. The flowers, etc I don't think ever did anything either but we moved before they would have actually come up.

This year I placed another order with them for four carnation bushes, eight Rose of Sharon's and twenty-five strawberry plants. However, the carnations and all the strawberry plants have once again died. The Rose of Sharon I am reserving judgement on. I am unsure as there has been no activity or growth but hubby says they are "still green".

I am very disappointed in their quality. Any complaints I make go unanswered. I will never place orders with that company again.

Has anyone else had this problem with them??

I found out something that I had not thought of before. When you order plants early in the spring from somewhere far away they get shipped by air. Cargo holds are not heated and when they are up at those high altitudes the plants freeze then thaw before you get them. You get mold or rot and are mad because they shipped you bad plants.

Hi Corky, I ship plants year round by priority mail and have never had a problem with them freezing(some have been crushed, but that's about it). So I can't buy that excuse. Daryll

I've ordered trees from Stark Bros and they have always stood behind their plants! I had a cherry tree die 3 months after I planted it and they replaced it at no cost to me. I also ordered a fruit cocktail tree this year and one branch was broken off (due to post office) and they sent me another tree so I planted them both! www.starkbros.com or 1 800 325 4180

Uh Corky . . . I placed my order in February. They hold all orders until it is warm enough to ship them so that is not the reason.

I think it is simply bad quality myself. I have given them the benefit of the doubt, but not more.
