Eastern Kentucky

Anybody living in coal country in eastern Kenutcky or West Virginia and has suffered from the effects of the slurry spills of recent, you may be interested to know that one of the principal players responsible for these catastrophes is now being put forward by the Bush administration as a nominee to head an agency that administers to such problems. Talk about cynical. I must say that if this is true it is much more damaging than anything Monica and Willy did. Yet we hear next to nothing about it.

I am posting this to get feedback as to the veracity of this rumor. I heard it on a radio program. The only specific I heard is that the nominees' name is Stanley Subaleski. That is a phoentic spelling. The first part of his last name was pronounced like the woman's name, Sue.

If it is not too late, and it can be verified that this is true, I would appreciated feedback to this effect, so that I can formally protest his confirmation in a written letter.
