A great website for keeping your house clean and uncluttered

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Ok,I put this under Women's issues because I'm a woman and it's an issue for me...please no flames...lol But,this is a great site for cleaning and de-cluttering your house in small segments. It has helped me get my cleaning under control, the house STAYS clean, and I seem to have more free time.

If you sign up,which is free, you get e-mails for different zones of the house to work on and reminders for staying on track. Some of you may know of Flylady, but if you don't it may be helpful.

I've found even my husband and the kids are pitching in now, they never did before. We do 27 Fling Boogies all over the house and yard...lol

I went there, and for some reason, I didn't care for it much--perhaps because of the emphasis on "signing up" (free or not). I did not see much in the website per se, although I will check it out again.

Another one that might be helpful:

Try Organizedhome.com, this website also has a lot to offer. They have a nice forum too. The Countdown to the Holidays is a big help as far as getting organized for Christmas.

Flylady is great, a real kick in the pants when you need it to get things done in the house. Don't worry about signing up with her, it's a Yahoo list, so no problem getting off of the list if you like.

I do the 10 items rule! every month I walk through every room and get rid of ten things. They can be anything, an old magazine, a book, anything. It really helps me. I either give them away or store them for a big yard sale. Jennifer
