Is it true that none of Poe's work has a copywrite?

The timespan has passed except that printed and published versions have their own protections and cannot be photocopied or duplicated without their permission. Also there are variants of many of Poe's works that he rewrote or were edited upon publication. www.eapoe.org is a good place to start and a source you can get in touch with. Other dead writers not within the hundred year's limits have nonethless been kept exclusively by publishing houses that still sell their editions. Yeats comes to mind although you can get free versions of selected poems online. The Complete Works of Baudelaire is exclusively owned by the original French publishing house though his works appear in other anthologies and online selections. I don't think that applies to Poe since their is no family or exclusive publishing rights.
