"But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law." -Galations 5:22-23If only we could make it our goal to live up to these simple verses!! Could each one of us make a committment to follow this closely for just one week?? See what a difference it might make in your life and the life of those around you...

Wonderful verse and great advice, Melissa. Just one tiny correction: Spirit should be capitalized. It is God's Holy Spirit who produces these qualities in us. I imagine it was just a typo on your part.

I'll want to work on that last line, but here's a versified version of the passage:
The Spirit's fruit is love and joy and peace,
Then patience, kindness, goodness, self-control,
And gentleness, too; they all as one increase
No law forbids what God bestows the soul.Randal at Cloud Couplets E-mail Poem

Melissa, thanks for that scripture. It is so appropriate to my life just now. I'm starting a new job. Think I'll be needing all those fruits and multiplied exponentially!!!
