Wonderful verse and great advice, Melissa. Just one tiny correction: Spirit should be capitalized. It is God's Holy Spirit who produces these qualities in us. I imagine it was just a typo on your part.

The Spirit's fruit is love and joy and peace,
Then patience, kindness, goodness, self-control,
And gentleness, too; they all as one increase
No law forbids what God bestows the soul.
