Burn VCD from Videowave 5

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I am trying to burn VCD straight from MGI Video Wave 5. I have Presario Notebook and HP CD Writer. I am able to author VCD and play on computer with no problems. When I try to burn to CD it says "Can't burn to optical disk". I can't seem to get support from MGI.

I had the same problem with Videowave 5. It kept giving me the error "Can't burn to optical disk". Then I downloaded the ASPI Layer and installed, and now it works. You can download the ASPI Layer for this site:

In order to fix the Videowave "Can't burn to optical disk" problem, dowload the aspi layer:

http://download.adaptec.com/software_pc/aspi/aspi32.exe

I had this problem and downloaded the files from adaptec - it burnt the video first time. Thanks for the solution.
