EOS 300 + Tamron

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Canon EOS FAQ forum : One Thread

Is the Tamron 28-200mm F/3.8-5.6 LD Aspherical (IF) Super a good lens with the CANON EOS 300 considering the price? Whatīs about sharpness? Is a CANON lens 28-200mm much better (price/quality)?

Thank you.

The Tamron 28-200 is a pretty good lens. But not great. At 200 itīs not good at all. A sigma 24-70 2.8 and a cheap sigma or tamron 70- 300 would produce better images for about the same price.

What do you mean with "at 200 itīs not good at all"? Is that refered to sharpness, color or both?
