I just downloaded TMPGEnc and the vfapi plugin from www.vcdhelp.com. But i can not install the plugin, If anyone know how to PLEAE HELP

Answers

U merely extract the plugin to the same folder as where the main TMPGenc exe is. Then run the instal.bat file by double-clicking on it. This is a command-line file and a window will open which will say it's finished; u close it and that's all there is to it. The same thing is said in the TMPGenc website.

What? why don't you just download the newest version 2.5 did you know it already has the pluggin?

This plug-in is for telling TMPGenc what valid VfW and audio codecs there are in your particular installation of Windows in your system as a result of which TMPGEnc should be able to read files of such type successfully and encode them to the MPEG-1 or 2 format of your choice. Note that since TMPGenc is merely unzipped and placed in a directory it is not registered and recognized by Windows as a valid program and may or may not make certain or all valid codecs available to it. Hence this plug-in. It is entirely possible to have created TMPGenc as a normal installation executable like most other conventional programs out there. But this would at the same time have made it much more complex, the filesize much bigger, and having changed parts of the registry to make it "known" to Windows may create stability problems--issues Hori Hiroyuki do not intend to go through with what is after all freeware. TMPGenc, for all that it is, is surely one of those most elegant programs that does what it's designed to do very superbly indeed. No expensive bloatware here.

I did download the plugin and extract it in the correct manner. I also downloaded the latest tmpgenc to be sure. Both didn't work. Does anybody has another way to transform a svcd to a vcd? At least an idea that works.
