Relocating Waco, TX this June

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Hi!

My 8 year old & I will be moving to Waco this June [fingers crossed] and we´re looking through all the classifieds for a trailer I could fix up while I´m going to college. If anyone here knows of a trailer that´s mechanically sound but "cosmetically challenged" in the area please drop me an email. I´m going to be checking with parks to see if they have any old ones for sale or rent. Any other suggestions will be appreciated.

Hi!! Although I don't have a trailer for you I just had to pop in and say that I envy you. You are moving to my old home town. My daughter still lives there (although she'll be moving soon to Austin).

Waco is a great place!! I miss it myself!! It has so much going for it. . . great people, places, shopping, eating, etc.

Good luck with your move and I hope you grow to love Waco as much as we do!!

Hi Quinn! We went up for just a coupla days over spring break and looked around. I wanted to get a feel for the place - distances, traffic, people, that sort of thing. She wanted to move into the Cameron Park Zoo! Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. I think we'll enjoy it once the big move is over and I'm not pulling my hair out anymore. ;>)

Hi, Nessa, my mom lives very close to there, if there is any way she could help let me know. She has a double wide on one acre that is "cosmetically challenged", and she is considering moving to Oklahoma with us next year, so her place may be up for sale in about a year. She is about 20 miles south of Waco, and retired. Email me if we can help.
