What's for supper?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

I am thinking about some stir fried turkey with onions and garlic, a big salad with homemade dressing, rice with cheddar cheese, and a strawberry "slusshy" to drink.

What's cooking at your house???

I like the kidney bean salad with eggs---tuna salad with eggs----peas salad---large green salad with tons of raw veggies--with sliced hard boiled eggs on top----well you get the idea----

And brewed /iced herb tea---& homemade bread---

I plan on grilling a couple steaks on the grill. Will also microwave bake a couple potatoes plus home canned green beans. A subcontractor of my husbands gave us a small box of Omaha Steaks as a thank you for some referal work. Nice of him!

In several of the books I have read lately, they have enjoyed fried apples and onions. Has anyone had this and how do I fix it?What would it go with? Thanks and God Bless

I like fried apples, but have never had it with onions. I like fried apples with pork, like pork chops, or ham.

Michaela, sounds like you've been reading Little House books. Gary's having goulash, don't know what I'm having. I'd love some garlic pop corn, but I ruied my hot air popper.

I will have fish, with my own batter, Big salad, with my lettuce and radishes from garden, and scalloped potatoes. No desert. Ice tea.

Took our sides out of the smokehouse this morning so we'll slice bacon and have BLTs. And, no, we don't have our own lettuce and tomatoes yet and yes, I did go spend an arm and a leg for some of that soldi-gold lettuce and a package of Roma tomatoes. But it will be so-o-o-o good. Cottage cheese to go along and oatmeal cookies. Might have pickled beets and eggs, too. Now I'm hungry.

Beef Stroganoff, egg noodles, salad, turnip greens and corn. Bisquits if we are lucky!

Stir fried thai-style noodles with tofu and greens, veggies with peanut dipping sauce. Tomorrow we're roasting our second home-grown chicken - going to do it French style, with 100 cloves of garlic.
