Anyone cook it in the crockpot? I bought this blend of rice with 6 different varieties, it looks very good. Some days it is pretty busy here, and I wondered about just sticking it in the crockpot and when supper rolls around it is ready!! any tips, advice, ideas????

I use the crockpot for rice when I'm making rice pudding for b- fast. The rice comes out moist and gummy.

Yaknow Melissa, we just cook all rice by putting it in a pot and covering it with enough water to come up to the second digit on your pointer finger. Bring it to a boil with the lid on and take it off the heat. Don't take the lid off for at least half an hour and your rice will be done perfectly. It's so easy, you won't have to use your crockpot and end up with gummy rice.

I cook rice in the microwave - it's so easy, and it comes out great everytime! Just put an amount of rice in a large bowl - however much you need, add a little salt and oil and stir it up. Then, however much rice you put in - add twice that amount of hot water. Cover the bowl and microwave on high for 7-8 minutes, or until the water comes to a boil. Then microwave on medium or 1/2 power for 15 minutes. Uncover the bowl and fluff with a fork. It's always perfect!
