Where to buy layer pellets online?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

My local (Bay Area) feed store is a rip off i.e. 0.50 cents/lb. Please advise.

Wow! Cheap! I pay 7.50 for 50 pounds....they tell me they don't carry 100 pound bags anymore....bummer, I like the burlap bags.

we pay $7.00 for 50 lb. guess it depends on supply and demand.

Wouldn't the shipping be too much? It would pay you to drive out of the area and buy a bunch, considering how many birds you have, at one time. We can only get 50 lb sacks here too at $7 something. When you say "bay area" are you talking about S.F.? I am sure if you just drive a few miles you can find it cheaper. If you are talking S.F in Ca. you could probably do well in Tracy which isn't very far but is very agricultural. Good luck.
