Was the black, aluminum and yellow pinstriping the only paint scheme the ACL had before the merger?

ACL diesels used purple with an aluminum band and yellow stripes from 1939 to 1957 - see the ACL diesel painting on the opening illustration of this web site, for example.

For which series of cars? The box's were pretty much in the paint scheme you've mention.
