By far the best source on this topic is the South African Journal of Psychology which appears regularly. There must be a library in Canada that carries it. A perusal of the last few volumes would give one an excellent idea of what is going on psychologically in that country.

Let me know if this suggestion is impracticable. There are a small number of articles in more accessible sources but they would give a very patchy and probably out of date picture.
