I thought this article was interesting. I am curious to hear personal anecdotes that anyone might share concerning your own faith journey, no matter what it might be. Have you moved from faith to non-faith; have you moved from non-faith to faith; have you moved from one faith to another; have you remained the same (faith or non-faith) as your life has unfolded? Care to say why? Are you open to future changes in any direction?

Have you ever had a defining moment that crystallized your faith or lack thereof? Have you ever had an epiphany?

Have you ever been in battle? How did that experience affect your faith? (I can imagine it strengthening faith or destroying faith)

Lars you posed a serious question. One too personal for many to answer. For me, there has never been much faith beyond what "is". Life is life, then you die. What happens next, if anything, is beyond me. I don't "search" for meaning.

I have never had an epiphany, never had a personal relationship with an immaterial entity, never have seen a 500 foot Jesus. Nor have I ever been in battle or lost a loved one except when it was "their time".

For me, religious gatherings are of value in their enhancement of a sense of community, their promotion of ethical behavior and their diminution of anomie. For me, they offer no insights on the nature of Being.

I have seen faith in others but have not experienced it personally. Maybe my epiphany awaits tomorrow.

As we look at the current/past butchery in this world, all in the name of ‘religion’, you have to ask how good can these so-called beliefs be?

Everyone has a different God that sanctions these activities and that should be your first clue as to the manufactured structure of ALL religions.

They all have a common denominator……..BULLSHIT.

Lars as Roland points out it is a very personal question, meant to be that way I guess. No major life transformations for me but I'd have to say my brother certainly went through a major change. He recently lost his daughter and prior to that time never believed in life after death. He had told me that when you die, that's it. Now he knows in his heart that his daughter's spirit lives on. He feels her presence constantly and offers no other explanation. Well, I guess there isn't any explanation; either you feel it or you don't, hence the term 'faith'.
