Were these business cars originally southern equipment or did they come from an acquired road, if so, was it C of G?

Have been unable to come up with a clear statement of whether these are wooden sided cars sheathed in metal at a later date, of they are heavywieght pullman cars.

C of G had wooden sleepers with these numbers, were these converted over?

Based on what I know about Southern Business Car No. 16, located in Scottsdale, AZ I would expect that the cars you mention are steel sheathed wood cars. They may have been built for one of the Southern's predecessor lines and would most likely have been built between 1875 and 1890.

Two Southern Railway and one Central of Georgia business cars were sold to a judge in Texas who was trying to develop some sort of sports-themed entertainment center. The two Southern cars were earlier steel business cars that were rebuilt/modernized with sealed (thermapaine) windows and the like but had a slightly different general window pattern than the later modernized cars, while the CofG car was of a unique gothic design and quite attractive.
