Let me tell you a little story. Once upon a time a group of people were sitting in a beer garden in Germany back in the 20's quitely enjoying their beers. Then an odd little man jumped up on a table claiming that a revolution had begun. These people all brushed him off thinking to themselves "Who is this fool,anyway?" He was arrested and taken away. Nobody gave the man with the odd little mustache a second thought.

Years later this little oddball amassed a following,burned down the Reichstag, took over all of Germany, then marched through Europe killing millions through war and extermination. Too bad those people in that beer hall didn't take Adolf Hitler for the potential threat he was to the world. He was an an odd even stupid little man to them. The lesson learned here is never underestimate the intelligence of your opponent.

G.W. Bush is far from stupid. He knows exactly what he is doing. So does John AshCroft and the rest of the Bush Administration. Although I do agree that putting up a big blue curtain in front of statues that have been there since the 30's is ludicrous, and even ridiculous, I do not underestimate the power of these people to think out and run their own agenda.

I also know of reverse ploys to make your enemy look bad. Like I said this is a board for thinking people. If education is no good then I guess we should shut down all the schools and universities in this country right now, so the Europeans and the rest of the world have the right to call Americans, loudmouthed buffoons with justification. Use of sarcasm and irony just doesn't work. Forming educated thoughts on issues does.
