Eating well and free...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

I don't know what it is, but I've been eating well and free of late. Monday a potential lease customer bought dinner as he felt bad having missed an appointment the day before. Tuesday my best friend and I went out to a local Italian place and he bought (we tend to alternate). Thursday night a local attorney's legal assistant who helps me with court filings and I were on the phone and decided to continue our conversation over dinner as it was getting late and neither of us had eaten. When the check came she insisted on picking up the tab as I'd bought the only other time we'd gone out. Friday a rep from a finance company from whom I buy repossessions took me out on his expense account. Today my Mom even insisted on buying dinner. While I have nothing on my calander for tomorrow I was asked out to lunch Tuesday. I've got to tell you, a guy could get used to this. ;o)

Gary,

I wish I were coming your way this week, I would buy you lunch!!! We would have to go to the famous hot dog place downtown Fort Wayne, of course. My sister and I saw that place featured on the PBS 'Across Indiana' show. We dropped in on the way to Detroit last fall, ate there, fell in love with it, and stopped there again on our way back!!

Gary, You are welcome to come here and eat as many meals as you want. Only thing is, we may put a hammer in your hand while food is being cooked. Yes, we are still working on that barn and with all the ice storms progress is VERY slow. So come on Gary, Drive to Ohio for a few "free" meals.
