in all my mythology books,, I cant find anything that calles the helmet by name. His staff/wand,, yes. DId find that skullcap (plant) is named after his helmet,, because the leaves resemble a helmet

Mitch, I think that the answer you are looking for is petasus, which is NOT to be confused with the mythological Pegasus.

Correct, also spelled petasos; today its known as a helmit.New question: If you were dining at an exotic restaurant and were served aubergine, brinjal, melanzana, and patlican, what type meal would you have?
-- mitch hearn (moopups@citlink.net), March 30, 2002.
Well, if I remember from my traveling days, aubergine would be an eggplant in France, and brinjal would be an eggplant in Asia, so my guess would be eggplant something or other.

The cat is out of the bag, the 4 names are for eggplant in different parts of the world so the meal would be vegetarian.new question: Where would you find a funambulist working?
