Hi, Im a 13 year old and im converting a ride on lawnmower into a gocart it has a 6hp engine and i was wondering how fast my cart will go and if anyone has any tips or advice to give me please help

You can convert it into a Go-cart but you need to know some mathematical factors to be able to make the conversion for additional speed.

The mower center of gravity is too high and the cart should have it low, very low, for safety reasons. Do you know how to lower the center of gravity ?. Do you know the RPM of the Engine, at maximum power ?. Do you know what is the first reduction ( gear) that the motor has ?. What about the second reduction ( gear ) or third ?.

You will need to know those things to be able to make modifications for much faster speed, because the lawnmower is designed to RUN VERY SLOW around 3 to 5 miles per hour ( MPH ).

Put a bigger pully on the engine shaft. (8-10in.)
