Thankfulness

This morning on our Christian radio station they were having praise to God morning. People call in and tell what God has done/is doing in their lives or just something they are very thankful for. It is soooo uplifting to hear how God is working in other's lives and how blessed we all really are. After hearing about the earthquake in Afghanistan yesterday, I have to say that I am thankful that God has put me in a country free from war and that is able to take care of its people in time of natural disaster. Actually, I could type for an hour about what I am thankful for, but this should get us all started. And, I am also thankful to wake up to SUNSHINE today instead of gloom and rain!!!

Ivy, today my first thankful thought was that I lived in America. Then, for waking up knowing that the Lord was always before me. In His Grace, Sissy

Our family has been under a lot of stress lately, and I do have to keep reminding myself of all the blessings. So, here's a few. Number One--my son Jacob is recovering well from his awful bout with appendicitis. He's still moving kinda slow, but he's moving, and he's smiling again! Number two, when the company Hubby works for filed Chapter 11(during the hospital ordeal), and lots of others were layed off, he wasn't. Even with the cut in pay he did take, we can still pay the bills. We have a wonderful orthodontist we will be able to stay with, maybe to the end of treatment. The sun is shining and it's warm again! Broody hen is doing well in the new location I moved her to. We're having friends over for coloring eggs and hunting. We consider our friends to be a really great blessing. Oh, and the work that was supposed to be completed on our house before closing, a year ago, is finally getting done!
