d76 in liquid formgreenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo - Film & Processing : One Thread |
Is there something very close to d76 developer, but in liquid concentrate form? I hate making up the packaged d76 (or illford look alike) only to have a period of inactivity in the darkroom for several weeks and needing to start over again.

There is a company in the Boston area, Solutek, that makes it and also Sprint's film developer is VERY close to D76. You can get the Sprint in cubitainers or small bottles.

Sorry, I think I made a mistake... I used to use Solutek in a Hostert Processor years ago and a hand line and it worked great but I thought it was from a local company... I found it here:http:// www.surgicalsupplyservice.com/contents/equip.htm#3

Sprint Standard, diluted 1:9, is virtually identical to D76, 1:1. Now if only someone would do the same for D23. In the meantime, I'll be weighing out Metol and sodium sulfite.
