RFD TV - on satellite

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I heard about RFD TV on an Arab forum and was told it was on DISH Satellite. Well, DISH bought DirectTV which I have so I called to find out if I could get it. You can get it on DirectTV if you have a dual satellite dish. Since we rent our equipment, we got a free upgrade and can now get RFD TV.

It is a great channel with all kinds of country/farm shows. There are tons of horse shows of all kinds - training, rodeo, shows, etc. There are old tractor shows and even some country music or Polka music (DH being Czech ate that up :)). The Horse Progress show highlights from 2000 was on the other day (DH just loved it).

Just thought I would recommend it, since I had never heard of it before.

Beckie I have been watching it for some time and really love it. They often have what the call samplers late at night and it may be bluegrass music or gospel music. They sometimes on the Classic Tractor show goes back before tractors. the other day they had the story on the first combine. It was pulled by a horse and could do more then 6 men could by hand. Great tv. dale

They really do have some good shows; however, most of it is real hokey and not very high quality audio or video. In fact some shows are really muffled and hard to hear, but it is definately worth taking a look at. They have some real good horse training shows and the antique tractor show is great!

Does anyone know where I can find a program schedule for RFDTV?? I've been enjoying that channel for a while now, but still haven't figured out their time slots and what shows/features are run when. I looked out on the net (using Yahoo as a search) but didn't find anything.
