The President has made a commitment to grow homeownership by 50% between 2002 to 2006. What are your thoughts and how would you help fulfill this goal?

Answers

I support the efforts of the President to increase the number of citizens acquiring the American Dream.

First, I would work to create a consortium of banks to provide loans to low and moderate income people. These banks would share the risks and profits of originating the loans.

Second, I would prevent unscrupulous lenders from taking advantage of citizens through predatory lending activity.
