need a glue that stays tacky,, wont harden or dry. Wanting to mack my own flypaper,, to trap mites with,, so,, using a honey isnt an option,,it will trap bees as well,(dont want that) IT will be kept under a hive, that allows mites to fall thru,, but if its has honey in it,, bees will work to get to it

Stan, there are instructions in a back issue of Countryside (probably 1999 or 2000). I'll try to find it for you. The only thing I remember about it is that it called for resin.

That cheap off brand salad oil gets real tacky real fast and stays that way forever almost.

How about tanglefoot? Isn't that the sticky bug lure stuff you can get throu organic gardening supply places?

www.gardensalive.com carries a product that might be similar to tanglefoot. Had company this weekend so I haven't had a chance to look up those instructions, yet.

How about petroleum jelly? Bugs seem to stay stuck in that once they get into it.
