Just have to share with someone

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

I had started a few family business and today the Newspaper did an article on me and my soap business, they want to come out and do another one on our Blueberry U-Pick (plants have budded yet!). I am kinda of excited about it because I am not the marketing personality and needed a little help to hit the streets with the soap. Thank you for listening, Debbie in Ok.

You are really on your way!! Let us know what kind of difference you see in your business when the stories are printed. What kinds of soap do you make? Which kinds are your biggest sellers. Do you sell much soap to people who come to pick blueberries?

Hey, Debbie, where in OK are you again (sorry, short memory here). If the paper is online, send us a link so we can read your story - I would love to see it!

Congratulations, oh I just love to read success stories!

It'll be interesting to know how your business picks up after the article comes out - yeah, post the link if you can, we'd all love to read about your success.

Good luck and God bless

We are marketing soaps with our CSAs (weekly produce boxes). Look at the Robyn Van En center website for a CSA in your area and see if they would be interested in selling your soaps to their customers. Most would love the chance to offer additional natural products to their customers. We are buying the soaps wholesale at $2.50/4oz bar and reselling them for $4/bar or 3/$11.

Amy, they do not have a CSC in OK. How does one start one? There are probably several of us in Ok. that with some organization could do something. What you guys buy wholesale is what I sale retail! Debbie P.S. Looked at the list and the closest they said was AL. Not too close. I am in Southeast OK. 20 miles west of McAlester, Ok., off of 270. If anyone in OK. would be interested in starting something. I know a few of you do goats and probably other things. Debbie
