Crafting Hint of the Day - Another Idea for Non-Skid Rulers

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Cooking & Crafts : One Thread

If your favorite ruler doesn't have skid grippers, try moleskin. This is a soft adhesive padding, which is normally used for protecting corns on your feet. Just cut 1-in. squares of moleskin and stick them to the underside of the ruler about 6 in. apart. Moleskin' has a surface similar to suede, so your fabric will not budge when rotary cutting.

You can also make your ruler non-skid by glueing little dots of sandpaper on the back. Use double sided tape and you can then peel off the paper when you need to.
