All of my 1995 season seeds came up

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A Country Singletree : One Thread

Found a set of seed packs I bought for kitchen herbs in 1995 and they all germinated. The chives, dill, parsley, oregano, cilantro and sage all sprouted thick. They were all BH&G brand , inner packed in vac sealed foil pouch. May start vac sealing my cheap seed packs and see how well they do after aging for a few years.

I know dill seeds and other herbs age well in the freezer. I have notice that Better omes & Gardens seeds, while being more expensive are the only ones that I have seen that are double packed in vacuum sealed envelopes.

Northrup King seems to do that with all herb seeds. Actually now that I think about it many companies seem to do it with herb seeds.
