Forget the Flax. You should be looking into Haldol, librium, Clonipen, resperdol, xanax, Thorazine, Valium, Buspar, Zoloft and don't forget good old Prozac.

I use it in capsules for the omega three. Otherwise its the omega three caps(fish oil) and I don't like the fish burps.

Forget about the oil, just eat the seed. Run them thru a coffee grinder and sprinkle them on your salad or steamed veggies or scrambled eggs. There quite good and much better for you than the oil. And easier to get down.

Hi Stan,

I had tried to take flax seed oil but it tasted like turpentine. I have read that your body can metabolize the oil way faster than seeds or pills. It's good for lowering your cholesterol level.

Good, fresh flax seed oil tastes slightly sweet and nutty. I have used it and I mix it into juice or use it on my salads. Rancid oil tasted quite bad and is even worse on your poor liver. I don't take the capsules for that reason. Flax seed oil goes rancis real quick so keep it in the fridge. If using the whole seed make sure that you grind it before using, it's difficult to chew completely.

This is how I take flaxseed oil and it may not sound good, but I like it alot. I put about a tablespoon over my oatmeal then add honey and milk. Also sprinkle the seeds over the oatmeal.

Stan, I take flaxseed in caplets {pills} that way I do not have to taste it .

We just pour our flax seed oil straight from the bottle into a tablespoon and swallow the oil down :-). I think it has a nutty and buttery taste.

Stan, I grind the seed in my blender with either sunflower seeds or almonds and a pinch of sea salt. I immediately put it in a zipper bag and store it in the freezer. We love it a heaping tsp at a time on cereal or just pop it in our mouths from the spoon, several times a day. If you put it in anything where it would sit for a while it will get slimy :o( It is great for intestinal problems as well as providing essential nutrients.

Stan,,, You can use it as an oil in salad dressing! I've done that and it isn't bad, sort of a nutty taste.

Also if you buy flax, I was told that the yellow ones rather than the brown ones are better in terms of oil content. They are also cheaper! I put several tablespoons into bread when I make it. You don't need to alter the recipe either.
