I have been a fan of your web site for a long time. Thank you for giving me so much pleasure and entertaining instruction.
Have you come across the PAE controversy? If not you might have fun looking at what became a hot topic in Le Monde -- those French are so intellectual -- and the UK and Australasia, but doesn't seem to have drawn much attention in the US. Perhaps because we had the debate after Klamer-Colander and the AEA blue ribbon panel report on the state of the Ph.D. economics.
You can get to the site by typing Post-Autistic Economics into Google.
You can also practice your french on Bob Solow's defense of the status quo -- or that is how I interpreted him.
Some of the hanger's on are exploiting the controversy to attack economics and bolster their own agendas, but it is easy to sort the wheat from the chaff.
